Marion Stubbs Thomas founded Jack and Jill of America, Incorporated on January 24,1938 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Twenty motherscame together to discuss creating an organization to provide social, cultural and educational opportunities for youth, ages two through nineteen.
Today, across 252 chapters, Jack and Jill of America, Inc. remains an organization of mothers dedicated to raisingthe next generation of African American leaders while enhancing the lives of all children. Celebrating 45 years of service, the North Shore Chapter is committed to accomplishing our mission through programs focused on leadership development, cultural exposure,community service, legislative advocacy and philanthropic giving.
